First visit home

Ava (almost 4), Anna (almost 18 mo.) Katelyn (almost 3)

So how could we leave these precious little girls? It wasn't easy!! We needed to make a quick trip home to take care of some business, pack more things for our new apartment, and most of all - to remind our grandchildren that we are not away forever. Although we will not always have the luxury of getting home every month, they will always know that we will be back.

We flew home on Saturday and after a good night's sleep to counteract jet lag, our families came over for a visit and some pizza. This was actually the first time the three girls were all together at one time, and little Anna (Lyle's granddaughter) delighted in following the older girls around. They opened their little gifts from France and had to put on their scarves, displaying the height of French fashion!

We are also facing the consequence of being so far away during family "events". Katelyn will be getting a new brother or sister in a few weeks, when we are back in Paris. There will be an ache in a few hearts along with the joy we will all feel.

We're glad you are home for a visit...it's been fun seeing you both, and spending time with family. We will be sad to see you go again, but will look forward to fun times ahead when you return. Can't wait to see pictures of your new place and to hear about you getting all settled in!

We had such a great time with you and all the other girls at the museum yesterday!! It's great having you home. I can't believe it's almost time for you to go again.

Thank you, thank you for the adorable French outfit and headband. As everyone can see, they are so cute!!
